Meet the Team – Donna Nicklin, Implementation Lead
Want to get to know the individuals working to provide Ignition Wealth’s solutions?

In this blog series, we will introduce you to our team. First up is Donna Nicklin, Implementation Lead for Ignition Wealth.

She previously worked for ANZ and Westpac, an expert in customer satisfaction.

We asked her eight questions about her work at Ignition Wealth.

1. Why did you make the decision to work for Ignition Wealth?

I wanted to work with a forward thinking company, somewhere I could use my experience and educational background to make a difference to the future of advice.

2. What are some of your career highlights/key achievements?

Some highlights would be travelling interstate in previous roles to help financial advisers with adapting and using technology to evolve their businesses.

I would also say a career highlight would be getting nominated for the ‘rising star’ award as part of the Women in Technology and data awards.

3. What are you working on right now?

Right now I’m working hard with my team to develop and expand on our existing digital advice journeys. We are constantly trying to improve our technology so I look forward to implementing some of these new journeys once developed.

4. What do you enjoy about working at Ignition Wealth?

I enjoy being part of a a company dedicated to helping more Australians get affordable, quality financial advice. A lot of people want advice, but feel it is out of their reach. Ignition Wealth’s aim is to bridge that gap and make advice accessible and available to everyone.

5. What are you looking forward to in 2018?

I’m looking forward to making a bigger impact in 2018 – having only joined Ignition Wealth in Oct 2017, I still have a lot of ideas and concepts to bring to life in 2018.

6. What is your favourite piece of tech?

Like most people, I would have to say my mobile phone, something that I can’t live without these days.

7. Any book suggestions?

I don’t really get time to read books anymore, I can recommend a podcast though – ATP Science podcasts are a great listen for anyone interested in general health and wellbeing.

8. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Mind over matter – if you believe enough in something, you can make it happen.
