CPA Australia Public Practice Conferences
CPA Australia offers a huge number of excellent events every year. The events and conferences cover topics from professional development to corporate learning and networking opportunities.

Their annual calendar of conferences provides a broad spectrum of the topics that are most important to accountants including SMSFs, technology and management.

The public practice conference series is hosted in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and is designed to keep CPA Australia members ahead of the game. Attending the public practice conference keeps members up to date with the impact of regulation, technology and digital transformation. The events are inspirational and informative and the atmosphere is full of energy as members learn how to develop and grow their careers and practices.

Ignition Wealth was delighted to be one of the exhibitors taking part in the 2016 public practice conference series. Other exhibitors included ADP, AuditSuper, MYOB, NAB, QuickBooks and Sage. We met with interested CPA Australia members and shared information about the latest developments in digital financial advice. It is exciting to see so many forward thinking accountants embracing the concept of digital financial advice and seeking a consumer first solution from Ignition Wealth. Visitors to the Ignition Wealth booth had the opportunity to meet our staff, greet our mascot BB8 and enter a draw to win a voucher from Apple.

There were a number of great speakers at the events. The standout speaker was the Australian olympian Jacqui Cooper who gave an inspirational lunchtime address, A View From The Top on day two of the Sydney event. Among Jacqui’s many quotable comments our two favourites were, “The best is yet to come,” and “Where there is great effort there are great performances.”

Congratulations to the winners of our prize draw, Kerri Warner of Warner Accounting in Perth, Simon Makeham of Cachewise in Sydney and Jim Hilbert of Specialist Audits and Darren Wray of RWJ at the Melbourne conference.
